The sun's warmth on my face as the cool breeze hits me this morning brings me joy—joy knowing that God created all this beauty for us.
Such love Father has for us. Caramel the cat causes a welcome intrusion as he walks on the boardwalk overhang, trying to grab my attention.
Love, he needs love. As I type this, I put the phone down and hold him in my arms.
He can not get enough attention this morning. He craves it and must have it.
How many of you crave the love and attention of another? How many of you long for an embrace?
I have learned to treasure these moments and memories.
God’s abundant love is evident as I shake the honey bee off my hand, listen to the birds chirping, and see the ducks perching on the barn rafters.
Abundant life all around and love.
Instead of focusing on the loss, I choose to enjoy the beauty of today. I prefer to dwell in the present love-filled moment and let go of the heartache of the past.
It’s in letting go that we thrive. We release those we love and lose, realizing we will see them again. They are home, and we are the ones who exist in a land of darkness and pain.
Freedom lies when you let go, permit them to leave, and you trust God to see you through. You say no and rebuke the spirit of sorrow and fear and ask God to replace it with joy and peace.
Your love for them never dies, nor there’s for you. You both are in transition. You see it as a loss but a gain to the believer.
They are home with the Lord, without pain, sickness, or heartache.
They are galloping in lush green pastures with abundant love.
Earth is not our home; heaven is. To live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Let go, surrender it all, and experience peace that surpasses all understanding. Complete your call on earth and your divine purpose, and when your assignment is done and your appointed time has passed, you will transition to your eternal home.
How do you do this? Let go, move on?
In Christ’s strength and not yours. You move on so you can be fully present in the moment and able to treasure and love those left behind.
Freedom.
Our faith gets us through any loss, trial, or heartache because Jesus is with us through the storm and will see us through to the other side!
Blessings,
Tammy Toney-Butler
